Assessment for Autism, ADHD, and Related Concerns
At Clarity and Care, we offer thoughtful, trauma-informed assessments to help explore concerns related to Autism Spectrum, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant presentations. Our Registered Psychotherapists can help you or your child gain clarity, insight, and direction toward appropriate support.
Step 1: Introductory Consultation (15–30 minutes)
Purpose:
We start with a brief phone or virtual consultation to understand your concerns and goals—whether related to attention, emotional regulation, social communication, or behavior. This session helps us match you with the right therapist and determine if our services are a good fit.
Step 2: Collaborative Psychosocial Assessment (1–2 sessions)
What’s Included:
One of our Registered Psychotherapists will meet with you (or your child and family) to explore:
-
Developmental and behavioral history
-
Emotional regulation and sensory sensitivities
-
Attention and focus patterns
-
Social communication and executive functioning
-
Strengths, challenges, and current coping tools
This assessment helps us build a clear picture of your experience and whether it aligns with traits commonly seen in Autism, ADHD, or ODD. While this is not a diagnostic evaluation, it can be a first step toward informed support or a referral for formal diagnosis if needed.
Step 3: Support Planning and Next Steps
What Happens Next:
You’ll receive a personalized care summary and recommendations, which may include:
-
Ongoing therapy with our team (individual, family, or parent coaching)
-
Practical support for executive functioning, emotion regulation, and communication
-
Letters of support or referrals for diagnosis (e.g., to a pediatrician, psychologist, or Psychiatrist)
-
Community resources or accommodations (e.g., school or workplace support letters)
We’re here to walk alongside you—whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, exploring neurodivergence, or simply looking for compassionate care.
